She can be contacted via the school office on 01246 232425 or the safeguarding email address: safeguarding@abercrombie.derbyshire.sch.uk

(This email address should be only used for reporting safeguarding concerns.)

Mrs Dobson is responsible for keeping children safe at Abercrombie too, and when Mrs Gannon isn’t available, she is the person to go to if anyone is worried about someone’s safety.

Mrs Freeston is also trained in safeguarding. Anyone can talk to Mrs Freeston if they are worried about safety, either for themselves or another person.

If you believe that any child is in danger ring Call Derbyshire on: 01629 533190 choosing the option for urgent child protection calls at any time or contact the police by ringing their call centre number 101 (24 hours)

Our staff want to make sure that all pupils are happy and feel safe in our school

All our staff agree that we should:

  1. Treat pupils with respect.
  2. Involve pupils in decisions that affect them.
  3. Notice when someone is feeling worried or upset.
  4. Listen to our pupils when they need us to.

All of our pupils should be able to name 3 adults they can trust to talk to in school for any reason, whether it be a question or a problem.
