Autumn Term 1

Take a look at some of the amazing things we get up to in Year 1.

w/c Monday 28th September

This week, we have especially loved making Numicon patterns and building outside in the construction area. Some of us built a running track that lots of our friends played on and enjoyed! We have been showing fantastic teamwork in all areas of provision this week.

w/c Monday 21st September

This week, we have been busy making music with a variety of everyday objects and materials. We have loved writing letters from "You Know Who" (The Big Bad Wolf) when we received his note to say he had stolen our poor little pig. Miss Drew had lots of letters on her desk at the end of each day threatening to eat the pig!

We have also been learning how to take pictures of our learning.

The Colour Monster!

This week, some of our learning focuses on the story 'The Colour Monster' by Anna Llenas. We have designed our own colour monsters and then created them by cutting and sewing two pieces of felt together. Take a look at some of our creations!

Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September - Welcome to Year 1!

We have settled into our new classroom really well and have enjoyed accessing the wonderful resources both inside and outside. We have worked well together and have been having lots of fun!
