Year 3 Trip07May2024

8:50 am - 1:15 pm @ Derby Open Centre

Sikhism - To further develop our RE curriculum and to provide our children with the opportunity to know more and learn about RE through first-hand experience, a visit or visitor has been planned for each year group matching the religion they are studying over the year. School aims to continue providing these visits for each year group, every year, visiting different places of worship each time. This will mean that as our wonderful children journey through school, they will have an understanding of many of the world’s major religions and actually see the religious buildings they have been learning about. Each visit will incorporate a trip to a place of worship and/or practical workshops to find out more about that religion. Children WILL NOT take part in any religious ceremonies or services. The aim of all the visits is to enable children to understand what others believe and how these beliefs match or do not match their own. Children will need a packed lunch on this day.
